All the guys went running back to their cars (at Pali) scared crazy and me and my friend Jamie were by ourselves taking our time walking back to the cars. Gil kept calling after me to hurry up. He REALLY was scared for my life. I got scoldings when I got back to the car.

What can I do...?

Okay I have sat down today and reflected or thought about my life, or what I do everyday. I just feel like my life right now is hum drum, boring, same old same old stuff. I am going CRAZY! I read other people's blog or hear about things they did and it makes me feel like I don't do anything. I see so many mom's out there that work hard, are constantly doing things or are on the run with kids, or are so crafty they just keep themselves busy. I want to be a mom like that.

I literally have the same schedule everyday almost to the second. It goes something like this:

In between 7-8a (depending on when he fell asleep the night before) Dezi wakes up.

8-9a I make breakfast for us and clean up our dishes.

9-11/11:30a We play, watch educational shows (for kids-pbs or disney), do flash cards, read books.

11/11:30-1:30p Dezi takes his nap and I clean the entire house. Dishes (there is a pile...PILE everyday, don't ask, I don't even know), clean kitchen, wipe table, sweep (there is constantly food crumbs on the ground that Dezi will find), mop (swiffer) if I'm not to tired, walk around and find hidden dishes that I wash & find paper towels and other random trash all over the house that needs to be thrown away, then take the trash out, then I blog & do Internet stuff until he wakes up which is usually about 30 min.

1:30-2'ish make lunch and eat and clean up mess.

2'ish-watch an Einstein video (I hope he gets something from them)

2:30-3'ish- play until grandma comes home

I usually get a 15-20min. break before she cooks (I don't know why she does it so early, although she always says she's hungry when she gets home so she just makes dinner) then if Gils not to tired from work I can get maybe an hour break to watch my show that I record or put clothes in the wash. Then of course I feed Dezi dinner, bathe him, then kind of ignore him a little so I can get somewhat of a break. Is that wrong? Then put him to bed & put all of his toys away. Before I know it the day is gone.

I feel sometimes that Gil doesn't really try hard to give me breaks because Dezi is constantly wanting me and needing attention, so then he says, here he wants YOU..then goes and plays games till he falls asleep. I can go out (which I don't do enough) and Gil will be fine with him and vise versa but I guess it's when I'm there he has a hard time. Is that weird?

The only time my schedule changes is if I go to the mall with my sisters. I guess I'm kinda a neat/clean freak so I have to do those things and I like having Dezi on a schedule. I guess I kind of put it on myself. I just had to get it off my chest and feel much better now.

But I'm still curious. What do you moms do during the day. How do you get so much stuff done, or get crafts done, or have time for yourselves. Please give me your secrets!

Mother's Day 2009...

I love my husband to death! He was totally into mother's day this year. I think last year he either just forgot or maybe because it's not a big deal for his mom and their family (mother's day isn't celebrated in the Filipines..?), that he thought it wouldn't be a big deal for me (all though he should know better). But this year he actually tried to think of something that would make me happy!

I have always told him that material things don't really matter. I don't need a big ring or necklace or clothes or expensive jewelry just something form the heart that was from him. Well this year he did it. He cooked breakfast for me and his mom (the other brother's pitched in too) and then gave me his present. Tears streamed down my face that he actually put into thought what I wanted (pictures below). I never knew he was such a crafty man. Good job honey!

Smooches for a job well done!

This is what he made me. It opens up like a book and I absolutely love it! He put on every single detail and picked out the paper and put it on over the MOM. He said it was very time consuming and he doesn't know why I like doing this kind of stuff.

This is the inside of the book. This mother's day was so special for me. Thanks hon!

This was mother's day dinner at my sisters house. All the men cooked! And did a wonderful job.

Two different types of chicken, ribs, sautee shrimp, cocktail shrimp, roasted veggies, rice, baked potatoes with fixings, jello, snicker salad, lemon bars and cookies. What a shmorgas board huh!

Don't know what to think...

Aahh! I had a wonderful sleep. Dezi slept in his own bed for most of the night, woke up very happy, ate his breakfast, then it started.
As Dezi was finishing his breakfast I started to clear my stuff (while talking on the phone to my sis.) and I guess my talking on the phone distracted me a little. I knew he had a little bit of peaches left to eat, and when I came back they were gone. "Good!" I thought to myself then, Aaaaahhhhhh!!!

Chalei: "What!?"

Me: "Uh.....ha ha....LOL!! Hmmm."

Chalei: "What?"

Me: "Dezi just smashed his peaches into his hair.....like, ALL OVER his hair!"

Chalei: "L.O.L.!!!!"

Me: "Oh..... my..... gosh! Now I'm going to have to bathe him. Ugh."

So I clean Dezi up with a wet paper towel and take him out of his high chair (still talking) and let him run around until I am ready to bathe him. After cleaning up a little I go to the living room to get him and when I turn around to walk to the bathroom I notice little brown balls on the floor.

Me: "Aaahhhh" (a sucking-in-your-breath kind of aaahhh, while having a perplexed look on my face).

Chalei: "Oh, what?"

Me: (very quietly saying..) "What is this?"

Eeeeeuuuuwwwww! There's doodoo balls on the floor! Dezi's doodoo balls fell all over the floor! They fell out of his diaper!

Chalei: (while laughing ) "How does doodoo fall out of his diaper?"

Okay in the morning his diaper is a little saggy but I don't change him right away cause I know he's going to make doodoo pretty much right after his breakfast. It's like clock work. Why waste diapers I say...they're expensive! Some times though his diaper is really hanging low that I can see through his diaper. I guess it was just one of those mornings. I don't know if I'll be using pampers anymore. Anyone have any recommendations on what diapers hold a lot of pee but won't sag? I did the huggies thing and I don't know, he would pee all over his shirts. Even if I made them super tight. I'm still confused to this day. Anyway pampers have been working great until recently. I did buy a target brand only because they are super-dee-duper cheap, so we'll see how that goes!
**SIGH!**

I think they're in order from oldest to youngest.

Keely's the BIG 5...

My niece Keely just had her 5th birthday in April. We went to Chuck E. Cheese in Aina Haina and had fun as always. We are always going there like almost every month because we have so many kids, it's cleaner than the Aiea one, I think, and my sister used to work there right after high school and her old boss still works there so every time we go he gives our kids tons of coins and then when they pick toys that they want, he lets them pick pretty much what ever they want. Thank you Shawn(?) We all pretty much had fun....ESPECIALLY the birthday girl. She got lots and lots of presents (Real good ones), took pictures with Chuck E. Cheese himself, played lots of games, ate lots of cake, and danced with the whole C.E.C. crew. Just what she wanted!

Me and my handsome son!

Chuck E. came out to say hello and he would not look away. He does NOT like Chuck E. so I think he was just checking to make sure he didn't get to close.

Riding the carousel.

Lucky we live Hawaii...

A few week ends ago Gil, Dezi and I went to the beach to enjoy the warm sunny day. I don't know which beach exactly but it was on the north shore right in front of the Volcom house. Anyway we were playing and having fun when Gil spotted to whales playing in the water. They were just jumping out and throwing their bodies back in. I forget what you call it. I couldn't believe he could see that far. These are the best two pictures that we took. We didn't think to put on the other lens of the camera at the time. But I think if you click on the picture you can see it better.

The whale just going in the water. You can see his white splash.

You can see the whale coming out of the water.

If you ever wondered if sand tastes good just ask Dezi!

Daddy put Dezi on the board and pushed him down the sand hill. He didn't really like that.

Happy Easter...

On Easter Sunday we did what everyone does for easter. We dyed eggs, hid the eggs, found the eggs, and ate the eggs.
We had a lunch at the Deliz house where everyone on Gil's mom side came over. We ate good food, then the kids (and kids at heart) started dying eggs right away. By the time I realized they were dying eggs there was only one left for Dezi to do. He didn't mind though cause he didn't know what to think. I did it for him of course! Every year Gary and Ali (gil's brother and girlfriend) have a competition on who can be the most creative with decorating the eggs. Gary did a pretty good spock (?) the star trek captain, I think, and Ali did a replica of Dezi shorts. I say Ali won.
Dezi was okay at hunting the eggs. He didn't want to do it at first, then would just point to the eggs he found and I would have to get them and put them in his basket, then he started to pick up the eggs and give them to me. By the time he wanted to go get them himself there were no more eggs to be found. Oh well. Next year will be a lot more fun for him I'm sure.

After church we took some pictures before everyone came over. We tried to get all artsy
and take pictures in the park next to our house. Some came out nice some didn't come out
and some came out okay. I wore my favorite color pink and Gil and Dezi wore blue shirts
and the same surf shorts which we bought a while ago. I think it shows their true Filipino
pride! Here we are.....April 2009!

Happy Easter!

Okay we tried to take pictures thinking where a professional photographer might tell us to stand or what to do. Some are corny but oh well. It's the nicest pictures we have as a family!
All together anyway.

Happy birthday Kanai...

My brother right above me had his 30th birthday in April! We went to Sam Choy's Breakfast, lunch & crab. It was soooo gooood! The night was perfect. Everyone showed up on time, we had our own part of the restaurant where we could be as loud as we wanted (the kids I mean), our waiter was so super duper nice, he compt our drinks and dessert. And we had a big party too! 14 adults and 14 children (including 4 babies) which by the way all 14 kids... yes ...14, ate free! The waiter said to order food for the babies too and just take it home. Why not, it's free. Let me tell you the kids meals were no kids meals, they were adult sized portions almost. And it was soooo goooood!
They even had a play room next to ours that the kids could play in. They had a t.v., caricature drawer, balloon man, game cubes, and basket ball throwing games. The kids had a blast going back and forth and the grown ups actually could talk and enjoy the evening.

Happy 30th Kanai....you old fut!

The birthday king & his little princess.

This was my dinner. The crab stuffed fish. It was so tender but not under cooked, the sauce was awesome and so were the veggies. I soooo recommend getting this dish.

All the family was able come.

The girls helping uncle Kanai open his presents.

The game room where the kids went crazy!

P.S. If you want to eat with your kids eating free they do it every Tuesday!

This is what you get...

...when you order from ebay and not craig's list...
SO my husband is a self made expert on cars. Honda's to be exact. If you have a honda he can probably fix anything, all other cars he can probably figure it out in a couple of days. He's done motor switches...like take the entire motor out on his own and fix it and put it back in. That is his passion. Anyway he and his friends are always looking for nice rims or other parts that are a real good deal. So on ebay he found one.
The pictures nor the description had any indication that anything was wrong with the rims he wanted to buy. Although he kept telling me "something's not right?".... "Something has to be wrong." .... "Why would he sell it for so cheap?" He found rims that were perfect but were "Too perfect to be true" kind of a thing. But instead of letting it go he couldn't pass up a GREAT DEAL! What happens...
Low and behold the rims arrive and there is dents and a crack in one of the rims. The guy he bought it from would not respond Gil's emails although he was trying to be a little nice about. He finally took it to the post office to try and see if he could get money from them (maybe it broke while shipping, but he knew it didn't.) which didn't happen. The post office rejected his claim.
So now he has to pay more money to get it professionally fixed. When he'll do it I have no idea but....oh well.

Happy Birthday Krysta...

My niece, Krysta had her birthday party in February. She turned 10? or 11? I can't even remember, what a bad aunty am I. Anyway she wanted to go to Dave & Buster's. Everyone had fun, played games, got prizes, ate good food (mine was awesome....the lemon salmon) and went home late and tired.
The birthday girl and her birthday sunday.

All the military men played gun games.....BOO!
Do something else.

This was a fun new game that I liked. You pull the lever and hope for a big win!
Maybe I liked it cause I actually got the big win....1000 tickets! Wooo whooooo!

Happy belated birthday Krysta! Hope you liked it.....no, loved it!

Happy Birthday Bela-Rela...

We celebrated my nieces 3rd birthday on April 11th with a Highschool Musical Theme birthday bash! When asked what kind of theme she wanted for her birthday party there was no question about it. With enthusiasm she expressed to her mother that she wanted High School Musical. So everyone dressed up in the East High Wildcat colors, red, white and gold. It was so much fun. A bunch of friends and family came to celebrate with the birthday girl. Everyone was in high school-ish spirits and the kids had a blast. They had pull the string off the pinata (I personally like the wacking one but they didn't have a pinata like that with the highschool musical theme) & finish the lyrics to a highschool musical song. I told my sister to do like a pin Gabriella's lips on Troy but she said NO! Oh well.
Happy Birthday Belinha!

Gabriella & Troy showed up!

Mommy was very excited to wish her big girl a happy birthday!

Sarah was not happy about this picture but it's an action shot.

Here the kids are enjoying their school "Sack" lunches.

Such a good idea and cheap too! The food was good. Chips, dip, veggies, sandwiches and juice. Can't go wrong with that.
