...when you order from ebay and not craig's list...
SO my husband is a self made expert on cars. Honda's to be exact. If you have a honda he can probably fix anything, all other cars he can probably figure it out in a couple of days. He's done motor switches...like take the entire motor out on his own and fix it and put it back in. That is his passion. Anyway he and his friends are always looking for nice rims or other parts that are a real good deal. So on ebay he found one.
The pictures nor the description had any indication that anything was wrong with the rims he wanted to buy. Although he kept telling me "something's not right?".... "Something has to be wrong." .... "Why would he sell it for so cheap?" He found rims that were perfect but were "Too perfect to be true" kind of a thing. But instead of letting it go he couldn't pass up a GREAT DEAL! What happens...
Low and behold the rims arrive and there is dents and a crack in one of the rims. The guy he bought it from would not respond Gil's emails although he was trying to be a little nice about. He finally took it to the post office to try and see if he could get money from them (maybe it broke while shipping, but he knew it didn't.) which didn't happen. The post office rejected his claim.
So now he has to pay more money to get it professionally fixed. When he'll do it I have no idea but....oh well.

I think Gil can petition to ebay to get the money back. They have a dispute section, and ebay has insurance to cover those kinds of situations. Brian knows more than I do, but don't give up-find out through ebay how to dispute the purchase and make sure you rate the seller and leave comments!
awwwww, that sucks!! so sorry that happened :( yes, thats why we do craig's list so we can go and SEE IT before we PURCHASE!!! I dont know much about ebay, but you can definitely leave a stink reveiw, that way maybe people wont buy that guy's stuff! what a jerk! hope you guys come out on top.......
i can imagine his expression when he saw what he bought. it sucks though. you can dispute it, jason has done it before. don't let it just go, make sure he does something about it.
Okay so Gil read the thing and said that he can't do anything. They actually did it on the side cause Gil wanted them so he said i'll give you this much right now. The guy said yeah and so it ended up not being THROUGH ebay. Now we know.....Lesson learned!
