28 weeks...

So I'm a little over 28 weeks now and boy has it been an adventure so far. To commemorate this special occasion I've decided to list 28 things about my pregnancy that you may or may not know...

1. It's a GIRL! (And we couldn't be happier!)

2. My nausea is all gone. (The first 4 months were torturous)

3. I have a really bad sciatic nerve thing happening in my back, buttocks, and left leg...boy does that suck really bad.

4. Happy to report no stretch marks yet!

5. At every recent appointment I have measured 2 cm over what I should be.

6. At my last ultrasound which was this past Monday the nurse informed me that SHE is now
a 2lb. 10 oz. little bundle of Joy.

7. I've gained a total of 7lbs. this whole pregnancy (Which in my mind doesn't sound right
seeing as how I feel HUGE!)

8. In the beginning I lost about 9lbs.

9. We've already named HER.

10. It's a GIRL!! (And we couldn't be happier!)

11. She is such a mover and kicker. (Waaaay more than Dezi ever was)

12. I have braxton hicks everyday.

13. Sometimes I have actual contractions.

same)

18. Took my second diabetes test and almost threw it up!

19. I'm still super, super tired!

20. It's a GIRL!! (And we couldn't be happier!)

21. She's starting to kick my ribs and stretch in opposite directions which really hurts
sometimes.

22. Dezi has been really loving to my belly and baby sister. (That's what he says..."I love your
belly and my baby sister.")

Easter has come and gone...

But this is how it went...

This year I was so behind in getting ready for Easter which included Dezi's Easter basket from the Easter Bunny! I got up early Sunday morning and bought what they had left of certain goodies then told Gil to put the basket together while Dezi and I went to church. He did an amazing job! I thought it would be the typical throw everything in the basket because he won't know the difference anyway kind of gift. But he even surprised me. He drew with special markers a picture that said Happy Easter Dezi, then had the basket waiting at the first landing with a trail of eggs leading to it. Dezi was thrilled and shocked as you can see from the photo. It was the cutest reaction and all worth the last minute run around.

After sacrament we went to Grandma Deliz's house where he got an even bigger basket of goodies. I think the picture says it all!

He dyed eggs with his cousin Jeremiah. And some of the adults as well.

Then came the egg hunt. At first he was looking only for the ones that he dyed but then
gave up and started picking up all the eggs that he liked...with grandma's help. It was more
exciting for me to see him so elated this year and into everything! Next year I will have to
make even better.

At the end of the day he didn't get to many eggs but I'm okay with that. He had fun and that's all that really matters!

Happy Easter!

Amazing MOM...

Happy Mother's Day

to the most amazing mom(s) I know!

My mom is literally the best mother I know. Just a few things I admire about her are her confidence, beauty, smile, LOVE, compassion and how hard working she is. I guess that's more than just a few but I couldn't stop. She never ceases to amaze me.

She is always there for ALL her children. Even though we are grown and married and have started families of our own she is always there to spoil the grandchildren, listen to heart break, give loving advice, support her grandchildren in all their accomplishments.....did I mention she has 16 grandchildren? And is always there to lend a hand or two and maybe a foot or two as well when it comes to her children. Words cannot express how much I love this woman!

To my sisters and sister-in-law, each of you ladies have taught me how to be the best mom I can be. I love that we can share stories about our little ones and help one another out. You truly inspire me in different ways how to be a loving, kind, PATIENT, and lovingly but sternly teaching mom to my extra active little man.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

And now I leave with the famous words of our mom:

I LOVE YOU ALL!!

My baby...

Ten little fingers, ten little toes. Boy or Girl? No one knows.

We've waited so long to hear what this little bundle of JOY is and now I can buy the cutie little clothes that I want to for my little baby girl!! That's right...I'm having a GIRL!!

Here's her first photo shoot.

This is looking from the bottom of her little bum.

And she seems pretty excited to be part of our family too as she is giving her thumbs up of approval.

We are beyond thrilled and excited that words can't even express. Even Gil is on cloud nine but says he is also scared. Girls just don't run in his family of testosterone but I know he'll be the best daddy to his little princess.

The doctor appointment post will follow soon after but at least the thumb twiddling can stop!

Things are lookin' up...

Since the last time I blogged I wasn't feeling very good and quite frankly wasn't lookin' very good either. But now things are "looking up."

I've been getting outside regularly with the kids, my morning "all day" sickness has finally gone away in the past couple weeks and I'm not so tired anymore. Thank goodness for a wonderful family and a great husband. He's really been stepping it up around the house and being patient with me.

Although now that I'm feeling better he's been gone a lot, of course to do cars, but what can I do. It's a hot sizzling passion of his and he's good at it. He says it's his last but I won't hold my breath.

So.....who wants to go out? Give me a call!

So guess what?...

I'm Pregnant!!

It has been such a roller coaster of different emotions but we're finally "adding" a new one to our family and are very thrilled!

We actually started thinking about having another baby soon after we moved into our new house. It was the hot topic of many conversations and we finally moved into action about April of 2010. After what I thought was forever (cause to be honest when you decide to get pregnant you want it to happen like, NOW.), really only 4-5 months, we were pregnant! It was end of August if I remember correct.

It was exciting but also the "Are we sure?" feeling came over me. We hit some really rough patches during this same time and I was nervous about everything that was happening in my life. Including the baby. After a couple of months of carrying the little one Heavenly Father decided that was it. According to my doctor the pregnancy wasn't normal to begin with and so my body started to reject it. I was absolutely crushed and had many nights where I cried silently to myself. After everything that I was going through I started to feel selfish. I put it all in the Lord's hands and thought I know it will happen when the time is right and the time just wasn't right. It was still very hard to let go but I knew I had another one to look forward to.

We waited the long 2 month period and tried as soon as we got the go ahead. This time it was right away. After only a month of trying we were pregnant again and this time it was different. I wasn't nervous and we were both in a good place. I am now 14 weeks and showing as big as ever. My doctor said it's from my pregnancy with Dezi so not to be alarmed but for me it's more embarrassing. This time around is so different from Dezi so just for my purposes I'm listing them to actually compare.

DEZI

-very light all day sickness

-didn't really throw up

-no food aversions

-tired

BABY

-very heavy all day sickness

-throw up and then some any/everywhere

-major food aversions (diet still consists of starches, plain starches.)

-extremely tired

-allergies

-colds

This pregnancy is so different from Dezi that I'm hoping for a girl but of course as long as the baby is healthy that is all that matters. I've always said I wanted four and Gil has always said he wants two. Well he just might get what he wants.....MAYBE.
