So guess what?...

I'm Pregnant!!

It has been such a roller coaster of different emotions but we're finally "adding" a new one to our family and are very thrilled!

We actually started thinking about having another baby soon after we moved into our new house. It was the hot topic of many conversations and we finally moved into action about April of 2010. After what I thought was forever (cause to be honest when you decide to get pregnant you want it to happen like, NOW.), really only 4-5 months, we were pregnant! It was end of August if I remember correct.

It was exciting but also the "Are we sure?" feeling came over me. We hit some really rough patches during this same time and I was nervous about everything that was happening in my life. Including the baby. After a couple of months of carrying the little one Heavenly Father decided that was it. According to my doctor the pregnancy wasn't normal to begin with and so my body started to reject it. I was absolutely crushed and had many nights where I cried silently to myself. After everything that I was going through I started to feel selfish. I put it all in the Lord's hands and thought I know it will happen when the time is right and the time just wasn't right. It was still very hard to let go but I knew I had another one to look forward to.

We waited the long 2 month period and tried as soon as we got the go ahead. This time it was right away. After only a month of trying we were pregnant again and this time it was different. I wasn't nervous and we were both in a good place. I am now 14 weeks and showing as big as ever. My doctor said it's from my pregnancy with Dezi so not to be alarmed but for me it's more embarrassing. This time around is so different from Dezi so just for my purposes I'm listing them to actually compare.

DEZI

-very light all day sickness

-didn't really throw up

-no food aversions

-tired

BABY

-very heavy all day sickness

-throw up and then some any/everywhere

-major food aversions (diet still consists of starches, plain starches.)

-extremely tired

-allergies

-colds

This pregnancy is so different from Dezi that I'm hoping for a girl but of course as long as the baby is healthy that is all that matters. I've always said I wanted four and Gil has always said he wants two. Well he just might get what he wants.....MAYBE.

Looking back...

I have realized that there is just no way I can put each picture into it's own post. I really could, however, it will be summer 2011 and I'll be posting on Christmas 2010. So instead were taking a glimpse back in time!

We were able to go to the temple open house. It was amazing for me, okay for Gil and hard not to run for Dezi. To be expected I guess. Dezi was not cooperative at all when we wanted to take pictures.

Our First Christmas....
In our own home! It was exciting and tiresome all at the same time. I got to decorate how I wanted to and cook all the Christmasy goodies but I was happy to relax and pause when it was all over.

Thanksgiving was a smorgas board of great tasting food! I made the banana pie...homemade of course and the cranberries. They turned out pretty good if I do say so myself.

Gil's project...
It seems to never end. We bought this car cause he needed one but little did I know (although I should have known) it was going to be a big project. He took the motor out, painted the engine bay, changed some motor thingy's, put the motor back in, did body work, changed some car thingy's and has a garage full of inside and outside car stuff waiting to be put on as soon as the whole car is painted red. It can't happen any sooner for me.

And Halloween...
We carved pumpkins, attended parties and did the whole trick or treating thing except Dezi was not happy to be in a costume at all. That's why I don't have a picture of it. I have pictures but none blog worthy. He was an air bender but didn't want any part of it. Oh well, there's always next year.

That's our 2010 in a quick recap. I know the pictures are out of order but I'm just lazy and down right tired right now to change it.

Dezi's 3rd Birthday...

Dezi's birthday was October 28 and this year we did just a low key birthday. Basically family and a couple of friends. We set up his water slide that he got from Uncle Glen last Christmas and Gil set up a super long slip n' slide for the older kids in the park next to my in-laws house. Everyone had fun and just got to relax. We did play a couple of games but for the most part it was a chill day.

Gil connected a tarp to the slip n' slide to make it longer. The kids were having a ball!

ah this little innocent face...

the pinata never had a chance.

The kids gathering their spoils.

His theme was dinosaurs and so of course I had to make a dinosaur cake. I was so proud! That's a volcano spilling lava if you couldn't guess.

It may not seem like it but he did love his presents! Especially since most of them were dinosaurs.

This birthday was bitter sweet for me. I love that he is getting older and learning all these new things but I realized that he really no longer is my "baby." All though he always will be my "baby" I'm so glad and proud of the little young man he is turning out to be. We couldn't be any more proud of him and can't wait to see how he surprises us next!

We love you Dezi!

Days with the Deliz's...

This is how we've been spending our days...

At the park, because it's fun for Dezi and easy for mommy. He loves going to the park to climb, jump, slide, run and just being a "BOY."

He is really a big boy now. He talks so much more now. I can have loooong conversations with him about absolutely nothing. I used to complain that he whined all the time but now it's the attitude. He rolls his eyes and his excuse for everything is "Mommy I tired. I too tired." He's been totally potty trained for a long time now, we're working on dressing himself, and loves to help mom in the kitchen. When I let him. He does school work that he now likes to do if I give him stickers.

Playing in the bathtub after I'm done bathing him. It's my quiet time I guess. I can at least take a 20 minute nap.

And lately Gil has been going to Podium Raceway. It recently opened up in Kapolei and he loves it. I guess it's the closest thing to racing a car since the track is taking so long to open back up.

Dear blog...

Oh how I've missed you so! You've been there for me for the past 3 years. You've been through my ups and downs, happy and sad moments, funny and retarded moments & my exhilarating and boring moments too! I will never take you for granted again and promise to post as often as I can. Thank you for sticking with me all these years!

Love, Keli

Through Dezi's eyes...

I need a break...

So this post is mainly to let off a little steam. I know I've written about my hard little times before and I guess it's time to rant and rave again.

A lot has been going on with my family lately and I feel like I'm barely staying a float. To start, we have just moved about 5 months ago to Ewa Beach. I am totally in love with my new home and love having our own space to do what we want. I guess you can say we were spoiled with not having to pay bills and spending what we wanted. Don't get me wrong were OK but barely. I'm the one that keeps up our financial books, cleans the house, takes care of our son, cooks and pretty much almost everything else you can think of. Gil is back now but he has been gone during the weeks for the past 5 months working on Maui. So I was literally doing it by myself.

I got a new calling a few weeks ago to be the Primary Secretary and I feel like there's so much to be done and I don't know people and I don't know the kids. I'm trying and very slowly getting there but I feel like it's just to much to soon. I can't write anything on my computer cause apparently our Microsoft works was a temporary thing. The church computer and copier is broken and I need to print out and type up so many things.

I recently (about 4 months ago) started to babysit for extra money. I was praying for an opportunity for Gil and I to have extra money and this came right away. It was for a friend of a friend. The boy I watch is Dezi's age, almost 3, and he is more than a handful. I feel like he might have something like A.D.D. but I can't really tell. His mother has told me she's supposed to get him tested but she never has (I think for fear of knowing her child may have a disorder?). He is only now starting to really speak or try to but half the time it's still babbling and with that there are tantrums because I can't understand what he wants sometimes. He keeps me more than on my toes and I am running after him all day. I feel like an incapable mother because all my attention is on this boy all day and Dezi is in the back of my mind cause I know he is ok. By the time the boy goes home I'm tired and have to start dinner, bath Dezi, clean and put him to bed.

Since Gil has been gone I've been doing everything literally by myself and have gotten used to it. Since he has been home I still do what I need to do because it needs to be done but I get no help. I think he sees me doing it and so he just doesn't do anything. I want to say something to him and ask for help but for some reason I can't. I just think "why do I need to ask?"

And last but not least, Gil has just gotten surgery on his knee so even more so I have to cater to him. I'm working hard and he is playing games all day. I know he can't help but I think it's resentment from past months building up and it's finally coming out.

Although times are hard I know they will get better. My faith is being tested and I hope I make HIM proud. I am grateful for all that I have been blessed with. I really am. I feel better letting off a little steam.

Sorry for the complaints and long post but you know what.....IT'S MY BLOG!
