Welcoming our princess...

Little Miss Ava...

Our baby girl that we've been waiting for what seems like forever has finally joined our family.
These are little facts about her and some of my thoughts. Some of the pictures are sideways.

I can't turn them right side up so you'll just have to turn your head. Sorry!

I've also tried to fill the huge gaps with little tid bits...

1. Her name: Ava (A name we've had picked out since before we knew what Dezi was)
Kairi (A name that Gil picked)
Kaulalani (Family name meaning: Heavenly strands woven together)
Deliz

Stats:

September 22, 2011
4:53 am
6 pounds 14 ounces
19.5 inches

2. Giving birth to her was a lot harder than Dezi. Although hers was shorter. Both were natural.

3. She was rosy red all over and had a small pink bruise (I called it a bruise) over her left eyelid.

4. She was perfect in the hospital.

5. As soon as she came home she was a crier, and spitter-upper.

6. We found out she was colic and has acid reflux.

7. Which explains why she has to be held 24/7 unless you wanted to hear her cry.

8. Yes she was born with all that hair! Which I have had fun putting bows and bands in already!

9. The first month was absolutely the hardest!

10. Chances are if she's not being held, she's not happy.

11. She is getting better about not crying so much.

12. I can talk to her in the mornings now and she will smile and coo.....

then it just goes down hill from there.

13. She doesn't mind being in her swing so much now, as long as it moves.

14. When she sleeps her right hand is always up by her face.

15. She sleeps almost through the night now. Nothing consistent. I keep trying though.

16. She doesn't take naps during the day. Unless I'm holding her, which is probably only about 30 minutes or so.

17. If I'm lucky she'll sleep in her swing...as long as it's moving.

18. Getting pictures of her not crying is rare. And when they happen of course I ONLY have my phone to catch it.

19. She eats about every two hours with my milk and three with formula.

20. As of right now she doesn't care for her brother much. Hopefully soon that will change.

21. She loves being warm and having her blankets wrapped around her.

22. She now sucks on her bottom lip like a pacifier.

23. She loves looking at lights and the wall words above our bed.

MY SWEET ANGEL!
